131: Repton and Newton Solney (South Derbyshire 2020)
SOUTH DERBYSHIRE WALK FEATURING REPTON AND NEWTON SOLNEY "Repton and Newton Solney” Filmed 2nd August 2020 Post-production completed 15th August 2020 I’ve decided to start making films closer to home now, mainly due to time and cost, so this film takes place in South Derbyshire. In this film we begin a kind of theme where I am slowly making my journey home, so whenever I can make more films, the locations will get closer and closer to where I live. This film features a circular walk between the two lovely villages of Repton and Newton Solney, and is only the second film I’ve shot in South Derbyshire, the first being “Time Out in Ticknall” back in 2016. I can’t tell you how good it is to be making films again, as well as not needing to get out of bed at 4am to make long journeys to locations before I even start the day’s shooting! I hope you enjoy watching “Repton and Newton Solney” 😃 Filmed in the county of Derbyshire. Locations include Repton and Newton Solney. Written, researched, directed, camera and sound, edited and music by Patrick Leach. Special thanks to Visit Peak District and Derbyshire for their information used in my research for this film. "The Solitary Rambler" is my series of amateur films of my journeys in the countryside accompanied by my own musical scores, which I compose and perform on my Yamaha keyboard. Please note that, as with all the films I make, this is not actually intended to be an extensive guide to the area. This is a mini-movie of my personal journey along the walk, in which I often share some of my own personal stories. If you are new to my YouTube channel, I strongly recommend reading the description on the home page, which will provide a clearer understanding of what to expect in my films: / solitaryrambler There is also a short “Introduction to the Solitary Rambler” video, which briefly explains what my films are all about: / solitaryrambler DISCLAIMER: Although I work hard to ensure all information is correct to the best of my knowledge, I am only featuring information I have found online and/or in books during my research when putting this film together, so I cannot guarantee that there are no mistakes or errors. Many thanks and I hope you enjoy watching!
