2006 Chevy Silverado Door Armrest Replacement: Battling Dirt, Corrosion, & Non-Working Heated Seats

Join this channel to get access to perks:    / @drivingforwardbuilds   Tackling the common cracked armrest issue on my 2006 Silverado 2500HD (fits all GMT800 trucks like 1500/2500/3500, Sierra, Yukon, etc.)! I grabbed these padded Amazon armrests with intact tabs and a decent color match – way better than stock's pokey, broken mess. Watch the struggle: popping the door panel, dealing with gross dirt buildup (previous owner must've driven windows-down in mud/rain), unplugging a ton of switches, discovering massive corrosion in the driver's switch block (thought it'd fix my dead heated seats... nope). Cleaned everything with contact cleaner, scraped pins, even disassembled the circuit board – no luck on seats, but the panel looks fresh, no cracks, and the value is killer. Pro tip: Always test handles/switches after reassembly, before closing the door !
