We flee from the nails, fearing suffering for Christ, But in this death lies life for us and the power of the cross of Calvary. CHORUS: Look upon the cross where grace flows, Where the Son of God hangs to crucify your sin, To take all the blow and all the wrath upon Himself, And hear the tender voice: "I weep for you..." VERSE 2: We do not find life in deeds, nor peace in "circumcision," We will not find within ourselves the foundations to come home to the Father, Only the union of the soul with Christ transforms us, And in Christ, a holy river of living water flows from us! VERSE 3: We little value heaven, that place where the cross is priceless, Where all await in rapture: when He will give everything its final gesture. We little think that His finger will touch us.
