Samoan Farmer Becomes a Matai !!

Talofa lava and welcome to a very special episode. The first of its kind of my channel. In this episode, my wife's family is having a title bestowing ceremony. It is where untitled men and women are bestowed matai titles and also where existing matais in the family are bestowed higher chiefly titles. This is a very important ceremony in the Samoan culture as it means that your service in the family is recognized and becuase of that you are now bestowed a matai title. Join me in this episode as we go through the ceremony and listen to some of the key speeches being said. About 23 of my wife's immediate family and extended family including my self were conferred matai titles. The matai titles included Soatogi & Tiāmulifanua and others.
