The $100 Million Fake Memorabilia Scam
In the mid-90s, Greg Marino practiced and perfected his ability to forge signatures, specifically, his Mickey Mantle signature. He then met Wayne Bray, already involved in the sports memorabilia industry, and the two along with many others would work together to take advantage of the market. Selling fake items signed by Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Ty Cobb, Michael Jordan, Marilyn Monroe, FDR, Abe Lincoln and other presidents.
