What to do in Krakow? One of the things to do in Krakow is to visit the largest medieval square in Europe! The entire city revolves around this historic center, where each colorful building hides a mysterious history. A visit to St. Mary's Basilica is also worthwhile; you can hear the trumpet every hour on the hour, and I explain its incredible meaning in the video. To eat in Krakow, I recommend visiting one of the many milk bars in the city, where you can eat traditional food at a slightly higher price than in normal restaurants. For me, it was really worth it; a meal for three people cost €22 and was one of the most wonderful things I tasted in Krakow. One of the busiest streets in Krakow is Florianska Street, and I recommend you take a stroll there and see St. Florian's Gate at the end of the street. It's located at one of the entrances/exits to Planty Park, a circular park that encircles the entire Old Town of Krakow. I 100% recommend a visit. Being in Krakow obligates you to visit Auschwitz, probably the saddest and most painful part of this trip, but essential to see and hear in the place where one of the greatest atrocities committed by man in the world took place. To see in order to learn, or to remember, so that it never happens again. Taking advantage of the time in the city center to stroll along the Vistula River and climb up to Wawel Castle is the icing on the cake of this visit to this incredible city.
