Is it possible to conjur a spirit with nothing more than your thoughts? In 1972 a Toronto group set out to test this theory, creating a fictional character named Philip Aylesford who tragically died after his mistress, Margo was accused of witchcraft and burned at the stake. Led by Dr. A.R.G Owen, the Toronto Society for Psychical Research formed a group of skeptics and believers alike to become the Owen group. The group immediately set their intentions on summoning and manifesting the spirit of Philip. Was the Philip experiment successful?
