I admit that the wild pigs initially piqued my interest, but the beach and diving did not disappoint. The fun starts with a two-story lookout tower on top of the cliff that provides spectacular views. The developed shore area has a dive shop, restaurant, souvenir store, massage cabana and hundreds of feet of beachfront. Below the water is equally engaging as an expansive sand plateau at fifty feet splits the reef into several distinct components with sandy chutes entering from the top and exiting the bottom creating natural swim lanes for all sorts of underwater creatures. Artificial reef balls to help address hurricane damage dot the shallows and have become home to lots of sea life. The rocky cliff bases also have their own ecosystem.
