Mount Butler is a 436 m hill on Hong Kong Island, and it’s commonly hiked as part of routes connecting Jardine’s Lookout, Wilson Trail, and Hong Kong Trail Section 5.[9][5][2] Main route options 1) Parkview / Jardine’s Lookout route  A common starting point is the Parkview apartment complex, then follow the trail toward Jardine’s Lookout and continue to Mount Butler.[5][2]  This route is steep in parts and is often described as a moderate-to-hard hike.[10][3][13]  A typical loop or point-to-point version takes about 1.5–3.5 hours depending on the exact path chosen.[13][3][2] 2) Quarry Bay / Mount Parker Road route  Another popular approach starts from Quarry Bay, going up Mount Parker Road to Tai Fung Au / Quarry Gap, then continuing via Jacob’s Ladder or nearby trail connections to the summit.[7][11]  From the summit, hikers often descend toward Upper Tai Tam Reservoir or back toward Quarry Bay via paths that end near Tai Koo or Quarry Bay MTR.[5][7] 3) Wilson Trail / Hong Kong Trail crossover route  Mount Butler sits near Wilson Trail Stage 2 and Hong Kong Trail Section 5, so many hikers combine both trails in one hike.[2][8]  This makes it easy to connect Jardine’s Lookout, Siu Ma Shan, Mount Butler, and Tai Tam Country Park in a single route.[2][13] What to expect  The hike has steep stair sections and paved road sections mixed with country trail.[5][7]  Views from the top can include Hong Kong Island, Tai Tam Reservoir, and surrounding hills.[5][7]  There are frequent map signs, but reports note limited water access, so carrying enough water is recommended.[5] #nature #fypシ #enjoy #love #sunset #travel
