To better study a song, I do some simple steps: I take the text from the internet, copy it to the WORD and correct it from any errors; then I listen to the song that I have to learn by following the text and I sign all the breaths, sticking to those that the singer in question takes. By doing so, I have a very precise picture of the rhythmic-melodic trend of the piece I am analyzing. Furthermore, breathing regularly while singing gives us both the ability to better manage the voice, which allows us to relax and give expressiveness to the singing. In the first phase of listening, I recommend that you remain silent, even if our instinct tells us to sing along to the song, but in doing so we would risk missing some important passages and thus leave out some fundamental details. So better listen in silence, at least the first few times. In this video I also give you some tips on breath management and some very useful exercises.
