The management of the Mediaș City Hall is concerned with the renewal of the fleet of vehicles intended for public passenger transport. It will be provided entirely by trolleybuses and electric buses. In fact, at the end of last year, Mayor Gheorghe Roman signed two contracts with non-reimbursable European funds worth approximately 70 million lei, which refer to the purchase of non-polluting vehicles and the provision of recharging points for electric vehicles in the municipality of Mediaș, but also for the northern area of ​​Sibiu County. One contract provides for the purchase of 5 zero-emission trolleybuses, 1 electric bus and 10 recharging stations for electric vehicles, and the second one for the purchase of 16 electric buses, as well as 38 charging stations.
