"Performance slips" on clay: Re-assessing scribal errors in the Linear B corpus
The first one of the CORRIGE Lecture Series: "Performance slips" on clay: Re-assessing scribal errors in the Linear B corpus, an online lecture by Paolo Sabattini (Program in Indo-European Studies, UCLA / Universidad Complutense de Madrid). What happens when a Bronze Age scribe makes a mistake on a clay tablet? Paolo Sabattini will take us through a fresh reassessment of scribal errors in the Linear B corpus, exploring what these "performance slips" can reveal about writing practices in Mycenaean Greece. The lecture is part of the CORRIGE project (2024-1-IT02-KA220-SCH-000248221, 2024–2027), co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
