Exclusive: Russian POWs on fighting in Ukraine, supporting Putin
The Kyiv Independent visited a POW camp in the west of Ukraine to speak with Russian prisoners of war about their service, captivity, and political views. One of them was drafted from an eastern Ukrainian city occupied by Russia since 2014. Two others, from occupied Crimea and far eastern Russia, joined the war voluntarily.
