Gochang Eupseong, also known as 'Moyangseong,' is a cultural heritage site that preserves 571 years of history, built collectively by the people of Jeolla Province during the Joseon Dynasty. The azaleas, spread out like a red carpet, harmonize with the tranquil atmosphere of the fortress walls to create a scene reminiscent of a traditional East Asian painting. A different spring atmosphere is unfolding at the Green Barley Field Festival near Gochang Eupseong Fortress. True to its reputation as Korea's representative landscape agriculture festival, green barley stretches endlessly across a vast 200,000-pyeong (approximately 63 hectares) site, creating a spectacular green spectacle. Right next to it is a field of yellow canola flowers, featured in the main poster of a recently popular drama.
