The P0456 Leak Wasn't the Canister... It Was Hiding Here

#P0456 #EVAPLeak #ToyotaTacoma #CharcoalCanister #DIYMechanic I called it - the P0456 small EVAP leak came right back on my 2012 Tacoma. Last time I walked away from dropping the gas tank; this time I drop the spare tire, get to the charcoal canister and vent valve from below, and inspect the rear hoses I couldn't reach before - all while trying NOT to pull the whole tank. The canister checked out. The vent valve checked out. That leaves the two aged rubber vapor hoses hiding up behind the canister. For now I've clamped them down tight and cleared the code. If P0456 comes back, those two hoses are next on the chopping block.
