An einem der heißesten Wochenenden im Mai verkehrten auf der Museumsbahn zwischen Cheltenham Racecourse und Broadway im Rahmen der Gala insgesamt 8 Dampflokomotiven vor Personen- und Güterzügen. Aufgrund der Hitze wurde GWR 6880 "Betton Grange" am Pfingstmontag (25.05.2026) schadhaft abgestellt, der "Coffee Pot" No. 229 wurde wegen des folglich geänderten Fahrplans nur noch für Rangierarbeiten in Toddington eingesetzt (nicht im Video zu sehen). Mit GWR 3850, GWR 2807, LMS 15189 (Caledonian Railway No. 419), SR 34070 "Manston", BR 78022 sowie Stargast LMS Black 5 No. 45110 war trotzdem einiges geboten. Die Aufnahmen entstanden am 25.05.2026. Viel Spaß beim Anschauen des Videos! ENG: From 23rd to 25th May 2026, the "Cotswold Festival of Steam" took place on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway (GWSR). During one of the hottest weekends in May, a total of eight steam locomotives operated passenger and freight train services along the heritage railway between Cheltenham Racecourse and Broadway. Owing to the exceptionally hot weather, GWR 6880 "Betton Grange" was withdrawn with a mechanical fault on Whit Monday (25th May 2026). As a result of the revised timetable, the "Coffee Pot" No. 229 was just used for shunting demos in Toddington (not shown in the video). Even so, there was still plenty to enjoy, with GWR 3850, GWR 2807, LMS 15189 (Caledonian Railway No. 419), SR 34070 "Manston", BR 78022 and the visiting star guest locomotive LMS Black 5 No. 45110 which just returned to service after overhaul right before the gala.
