IRAN: Day two of the U.S.-Israel operation “Roar of the Lion” continues as Iran officially confirms Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has been eliminated and declares 40 days of mourning. Reuters reported additional senior figures were killed in the opening strike, and the IDF spokesperson said 30 senior Iranian officials were eliminated in that first wave. U.S. / DIPLOMACY: President Donald Trump publicly confirmed Khamenei’s death and framed it as an opportunity for Iranians to replace the regime. ISRAEL / HOME FRONT: Sirens have sounded across Israel since morning, with impacts reported and fatalities in Israel. The IDF warned that some Iranian missiles may disperse small munitions and instructed the public not to leave protected spaces until receiving explicit guidance. REGIONAL ESCALATION: Iran’s Revolutionary Guards are launching frequent, small salvos across the Middle East rather than a single massive barrage. The report states more than 180 launches since the campaign began, hundreds of missiles intercepted, and “all 500 UAVs” intercepted in the Emirates, alongside a claim that Iran attacked a tanker in Hormuz.
