This prototype premiered in Grenoble, France on the 30th of May, 1996 as 'Space Roller' under the ownership of Alain Delaporte, now owner of one of the only Capriolo 10's named 'Infinity'. Soon after however, it would be sold to the Belgium showmen Heyblom and Bodet who whould tour with it until 2006. However on January 31, 2004 in the winter storage of the showmen, the ride burned down. Fortunately, it could be completely repaired and start touring again but this time under a different name that would fit its existence as the prototype: 'Top Scan'. The original name would still be on display on a nameplate on the back wall, but all other original nameplates were replaced by the ones with the new name. After its life in Belgium, the ride went on to a trip troughout Europe. In 2007 it was present in a park in Chorzów, Poland. Thereafter in 2008, it went a year to Ireland to then return to eastern Europe for two years. It would be situated in Vidam Park in Budapest, Hungary, where it arrived together with another all time classic: Barth's Flying Circus. In 2011 it would return to the west to Great Brittain, this time to stand in an amusement park called Lightwater Valley where it would bear the name 'Whirldwind'. After four years, it would finally be bought in december 2015 by Joe Whitelegg, who would, for the first time in 7 years, start touring with it on the funfairs again under the previous name 'Top Scan'. Top Scan got numerous upgrades in the last four years, a complete LED light package included. The original nameplate stating 'Space Roller' is not used anymore however. It also got a second back wall and name plate, carrying an alternative name which are used at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland to fit in with the theming of its location. And maybe it's not a coincidence that the name it carries at Hyde Park is the name of that other iconic ride it once met at Vidam Park, 'Flying Circus'. After 13 years in 2019, Top Scan came back to Belgium for a guest appearance at the Sinksenfoor in Antwerp. It was rented by Dutch showman Willy Ordelman to replace his Goldmine Tower at the fair since that one was located in Park Spirou in France during that time.
