V2026 Raster Manager

In this tutorial, I'll show you step-by-step how to create a precise building grid directly in your 3D model using the Grid Manager in cadwork. This new feature in the cadwork Grid Manager allows you to define grids quickly, flexibly, and on a story-by-story basis – ideal for clean planning and a clear project structure. You'll learn how to create new grids, define X and Y axes, and set distances both relative to existing axes and from the origin. I'll also explain how to control grid heights – either using a standard grid height or automatically based on the stories in the Story Manager. Finally, we'll take a look at the general settings, the context menu (copy, lock, import/export), and plan output, where grids, including their labels, can be exported correctly. You'll learn how to create new grids, define X and Y axes, and set distances relative to existing axes as well as from the origin. ⏱️ Chapter 00:18 – Creating a New Grid & Basic Settings 00:51 – Defining the Y-Axis (Distances & Zero Point) 01:27 – Defining the X-Axis 01:44 – Grid Height & Story Reference 02:15 – Moving & Rotating the Grid 02:47 – Adding Axes via Points 03:52 – Cleaning Up the Grid & Subgrids 04:28 – General Settings & Display 05:30 – Context Menu: Copy, Lock, Export 06:14 – Exporting the Grid to Plan Output 🔍 Keywords cadwork Grid Manager cadwork Building Grid cadwork 3D Grid cadwork Plan Output Grid Cadwork Tags #project__3d #module__basics #version__2026 #language__de
