Single-Leg Deadlift ("warrior 3) Hinge -- Tension and Leg Strength

0:00 Intro & Explanation. 1:16 Follow-along exercise. This exercise is about building strength and control in the outer hip (especially in the gluteus medius), hinging forward as much as possible while balancing on one foot. I perform 25 repetitions on each leg here, to build strength endurance and induce that "burning" sensation. Partial reps are OK if you get tired, but keep up the higher reps! Keep your body rigid as you hinge forward and back. Bend the standing knee as much as you need to, to perform the move. Keep the big toe of your standing leg ACTIVE, pressing into the floor as your body moves. Also, I'm using the wall to maintain balance. Use any support lightly -- don't lean, but use enough pressure so that you're not struggling to stay balanced.
