It was named after Francisco Lucas de Barros and the Rio Verde, which runs through the municipal territory. In addition, 7% of its territory is made up of the Amazon biome and 93% of the Cerrado biome. It belongs to the microregion of Alto Teles Pires and the mesoregion of the North of the state of Mato Grosso. Located 334 kilometers from the capital Cuiabá, in 2020 the municipality had a population of around 67 thousand inhabitants, whose main economic activity is agricultural production. In addition, it ranks 1st as the best city in the state of Mato Grosso. Lucas do Rio Verde is known for being a young, prosperous and welcoming municipality. There is the Historic Fig Tree, the Municipal Garden, the Monteiro Lobato Municipal Library, the Stone House and the Gaucho Traditions Center, as we popularly call it, CTG, where locals come together and demonstrate their dancing skills. Some cases bring many reflections, because of the evil that occurs on the street, around a dark corner, others because of the evil that occurs in broad daylight, others because of the evil of a failed relationship, but what brings the most misunderstanding are those crimes that occur within families and under their own roof. Therefore, we hope to contribute in a reflective way to alerting mainly the most vulnerable people, those who are most harmed by society, people who do not have opportunities or even those who are victims of their partners.
