Cybersecurity is generally associated with boring speeches and nerds (for want of a better word), and maybe that is fair. However, almost everyone knows somebody or an organization that has been victim of hacking, whether it is ransomware or something else. This talk will show you how we got here and why and what we should reconsider to move on and avoid the digital apocalypse! From driver to cyber, Koen has been a blacksmith, truck driver and now a cyber expert. Unending curiosity led his journey from being a developer to managing IT systems and now fell into security by sheer coincidence. This job clearly chose him, and he's just following the path.
