You should also inspect the variator rollers and clutch when you remove the belt. You'll need a variator holder tool and an oil filter strap wrench. It's OK to remove the kick start lever and gears. The electric start is very reliable and works much better anyway. There are many different belt sizes, so check your belt before you order a new one.
