I really like that the bass pedals on the G note where the chords change into C and Bb (in the Verse and Pre-chorus). I don’t play the quarter G notes as complete note, I ‘breathe’ a little between each note bu lifting my left hand a bit before the next note is played. I think this gives more groove to this bass part. When the Chorus starts, the bass goes along with playing the root notes C and Bb on the C and Bb chord, and there are more eight and sixteenth notes in the groove. I really like the way tension in build in the Verse and pre-chorus with continuing to play the G quarter noes in the bass and ‘releasing’ this tension in the Chorusses where the bass follows the chords and plays more freely. Another nice part is where the songs plays the same accents first on the beat (bar 63) and later after the beat (bar 71). Especially within the Chorusses there are some really nice 16th licks to be played. With 120 bpm this is a challenge to play them really tight! Enjoy!
