Exploring Ventana Wilderness With Jim Lowe | Winter Overnight Backpacking and Fishing

#hiking #camping #centralcoast #california 3/4/2026 - 3/5/2026 Arroyo Seco Campground - Ventana Wilderness I headed out with Jim Lowe ‪@highcountrychronicles‬ for some fishing and backpacking at Ventana Wilderness. We were initially going to head to Last Chance Camp but faced some obstacles along the way. The camp we ended up worked out well. I was able to try out the Kizer Drop Bear Fix 3 & 7 on some tough, dry wood left behind. There were loads of ticks around. With the warm Winter we were seeing them everywhere. I found 5 on my pants. Jim found 8 on his pants. I ended up getting poison oak pretty bad yet again. I used Tecnu wipes and the scrub. Showered with Dawn dish soap. The oils probably got on my gear I kept getting exposed to it. It was a cool trip. It was cool hanging out with Jim to check out areas I haven't been to before. Thanks for watching!
