Emir Sarrafoğlu ~ Grief

After Feriha died, Emir was devastated, heartbroken and inconsolable. He became a living dead, a ghost that is walking around the streets with no spirit, life and soul. He put a distance between him and his past life, pushing away everyone who cares about him and wishing only to join his beloved Feriha in the afterlife. Emir was lost, broken and full of pain, guilt and rage. He spent most of his time at Feriha’s grave, grieving for the love of his life. Emir’s period of grief gave Cagatay the opportunity to showcase his brilliant acting skills. With hardly any words or dialogue, using only his expressions- he showed us Emir’s feelings and thoughts. We felt Emir’s pain and the struggle of a grieving husband, of a man who lost the love of his life and his will to live.
