#Agrowon #tuar #crops सध्या मुख्यतः विदर्भात तूर लागवडीखालील बहुतेक वाण हे मध्यम लवकर आणि मध्यम ते उशिरा कालावधीचे आहेत. राज्यातील सुमारे ९० टक्क्यांपेक्षा जास्त क्षेत्र या वाणांखाली येते. मागील काही वर्षांत तुरीचे मध्यम लवकर तयार होणाऱ्या तसेच मध्यम उशिरा तयार होणारे सुधारित वाण विकसित करण्यात आले आहेत. अधिकाधिक उत्पादन मिळविण्याकरिता जमिनीच्या प्रकारानुसार आणि पर्जन्यमानाप्रमाणे योग्य वाणांची निवड अत्यंत आवश्यक आहे. मध्यम जमीन तसेच मध्यम पर्जन्यमान असल्यास लवकर ते मध्यम लवकर तयार होणाऱ्या सुधारित वाणांची निवड करणे योग्य ठरते. मग या वाणांचं उत्पादन किती? पेरणीचा कालावधी कोणता? वाणाची नावं काय? याचीच माहिती अकोला येथील डॉ. पंजाबराव देशमुख कृषी विद्यापीठातील कडधान्य संशोधन विभागाचे वरिष्ठ शास्त्रज्ञ डॉ. विजयकुमार गावंडे यांनी दिली आहे.
