[4K] OUR 2026 GEORGIA TRIP BEGINS IN SAVANNAH! Georgia Central, CSX, Amtrak, and More! | 3/9/2026

This is exactly how I wanted our first day in Savannah to go! After a grueling 8+ hour drive down to Southeastern Georgia, we finally arrived in the heart of Savannah, GA! The wait for our first train didn't last long, with CSX Y123 making its return to Southover Yard after working industries on the Columbia Subdivision! After that, it was a full out frenzy! Two northbounds that would eventually land on home turf came off the West Route in the form of M410 and I032! Shortly after, M690 trundled north with a mere 14 cars, while Georgia Central Z671 prepared to cross over the diamond with CSX lines! Before it could do so, CSX Y225 passed in front, on it way to NS interchange! Then, one of the catches of the day appeared in the form of not one, not two but THREE Georgia Central long hood forward B32-8s! This movement was followed up by Y222, headed for Raillink interchange on the Garden City connection. We took a break from the action after Amtrak 98 rolled into a stop at the Savannah Amtrak Station, but found ourselves back trackside to film some nocturnal activity! If there's one thing we learned about Savannah on this trip, it’s that there are a TON of moving parts, and its virtually impossible to see everything, but we sure as hell tried our best!
