My Dad Beat Me to the Tastiest Fish! (Hythe Dover Sole)

We set off shore fishing in Hythe hoping to target some beautiful, hard-fighting Gurnards. But when we arrived on the beach, we were met with wind, rough waves, and thick "chocolate water", conditions that made targeting them almost impossible! Faced with a blank, we had to think fast, change our tactics, and target Dover Sole and Bass instead. Dad managed to save the session with some incredible luck, but unfortunately I struggled in the tough conditions and blanked. I was absolutely gutted! But the story doesn't end on the shingle! The next day, we took Dad's prize catch to the kitchen, where I decided to turn things around. Watch as I prepare, skin, and cook up this fresh Dover Sole in sizzling garlic butter. It was absolutely delicious and the ultimate reward after a brutal session! 🎣 GEAR & TACTICS IN THIS VIDEO: Venue: Hythe Beach, Kent (South Coast UK) Target Species: Dover Sole, Bass (originally Gurnard) Rig of choice: Three hook flapper Baits used: Ragworm, blow-lug and squid Do you think Dover Sole is the tastiest fish in UK waters?
