🗃️ Jak działa RAM? - Podstawy Informatyki (Pi#4) (RG#348)

How does computer RAM work? How can you build a single RAM cell using logic gates, and with it, an entire memory bank? A few words about volatile computer memory, one of its most important components. 💰 SUPPORT:    / @retrogralnia   🔴 SUBSCRIBE TO OUR CHANNEL! https://www.youtube.com/retrogralniap... 🔴 RG DISCORD SERVER https://retrogralnia.pl/discord Our computers generally use two types of memory – non-volatile and volatile. Non-volatile memory is represented by hard drives, SSDs, memory cards, DVDs, etc. Its main feature is the durability of data storage, which can last for decades. The latter, however, requires continuous power to operate, the loss of which erases the data stored within. Volatile memory is primarily RAM, or random access memory. The amount of RAM installed in home computers in the early 1980s was in the kilobytes, perhaps tens of them. The Apple II of 1980 had 4, the ZX Spectrum typically 48, and the Commodore 64 64. By the end of that decade, computers had several megabytes of RAM, and today, our PCs typically have several gigabytes. Of course, as usual, to explain how memory works, we'll start with something simple and small – a circuit that can store as little as 1 bit of information. ✅ Series - Computer Science Basics Mechanical Beginnings - The First Z1 / Z3 Computers    • 🔌 Podstawy informatyki: Mechaniczne Począt...   Electrical Relays, Triodes, and Transistors    • 💡 Podstawy Informatyki: Przekaźniki Elektr...   Logic Gates and Transistors    • 🔌 Podstawy Informatyki: Bramki Logiczne i ...   ALU - Arithmetic Logic Unit    • 🧮 Podstawy Informatyki:  ALU - Jednostka a...   ✅ FACEBOOK: http://www.FB.com/RetroGralnia ✅ WEBSITE: https://retrogralnia.pl ✅ MUSEUM OF GAMES AND COMPUTERS OF A BYGONE ERA: https://gikme.pl #RAM #Computer Science #TheGameIsNotOver
