FoxAlien Vasto - Cutting aluminum with great results!

Hey, everybody! FoxAlien sent me their flagship CNC machine, the Vasto, in order to test out and demonstrate it's performance and ability. In this video, I machine two aluminum plates that are 10mm thick. I do my best to show the process from beginning to end (minus the CAD and CAM). Everything went very smoothly. The Vasto did not hiccup even once. Despite being a wizard, I try not to use any smoke and mirrors in my videos, I give an honest impression of my experience. I've already upgraded the spindle to a 2.2kW spindle, ensuring that the spindle will not be the bottleneck in the system for a long while. Despite needing a bit more bed stiffening, it did not seem to affect the final finishes and tolerances. It is important to have your CAM strageties planned well and maintain decent chiploads. The machine could be pushed much harder than what I have demonstrated in this video. However, this project was a special one-off job that I did not want to mess up, so it was more important that everything was within tolerance with good surface finish. Before I try and push it harder, I will upgrade the bed even further. I hope that my video has helped you in your decision making if you are on the market for a decent CNC machine.
