Synopsis: Ernesto travels to the Argentine province of San Luis, to a remote village in a valley, to reminisce about his childhood and the circumstances that shaped his life: his parents had voluntarily exiled themselves from Buenos Aires to live in a rural community. The arrival of a Spanish geologist, hired by the local chief to search for oil, poses a threat to the farmers' way of life.
