Fort Myers TV Stations Switch Off Analog (2009)
I'm clearing the last of my old VHS tapes. This is the fourth and final YouTube video I made with the clips I discovered on them. WINK, WBBH, WZVN, and WXCW shut off analog service around noon on February 17, 2009. I had a monitor/VCR set up for each (inc. a fifth monitor connected to the converter box). WBBH and WZVN went to "nightlight" programming 24/7, rather than shutting down their transmitters. WGCU and WFTX shut off four months later, on June 12, 2009. This is an expansion and higher-quality remake of my first two YouTube videos, since I had the raw footage and a lot of recordings that I'd just stashed away without using at the time.
