In Calgary, Prime Minister Mark Carney and Alberta Premier Danielle Smith participate in a signing ceremony for an energy agreement between their two governments. The deal includes a way forward for the possible construction of an oil pipeline to the West Coast by 2027, a carbon capture project, and a new agreed-upon carbon price of $130 per tonne by 2040.
