Is fish oil really as harmless and beneficial as we think? A recent, noteworthy study has raised the possibility of a link between omega-3 use and cognitive decline. I also evaluate current scientific data regarding its effects on depression, attention deficit, schizophrenia, and cognitive performance. The crucial question is: "If something is beneficial, is more of it even more beneficial?" It seems that this approach isn't always accurate in medicine. As with vitamins, I believe a deficiency-based and individualized approach to omega-3 might be more logical. This video isn't about concluding that "fish oil is harmful."
