Serious Charges Filed Against Suspects In Lakewood Fraud Case

ROUNDUP In Lakewood, NJ on Monday morning, a massive multi-agency fraud sweep resulted in 14 arrested for theft by deception. Local, state and federal agencies, in a coordinated sting operation, began their arrests of members of this large Hasidic Jewish community for what is being called widespread abuse of public assistance programs such as food stamps, Medicaid and Section 8 housing. All of those arrested have been charged with second-degree theft by deception.
