The truth about the new driving license reform – it will disadvantage many! Description The new driving license reform is supposedly intended to create more transparency and make driving licenses more affordable. However, as a driving instructor with 26 years of professional experience and 16 years as the owner of a driving school, I see the effects completely differently. If driving schools are measured by their published failure rates in the future, enormous pressure will be created. The consequence could be that many learner drivers are only allowed to take the practical test much later – not necessarily because it's better for them, but because poor failure rates are to be avoided. This means: ✔️ more driving lessons, ✔️ higher costs, ✔️ longer waiting times. I am particularly concerned about the impact on people who already face greater challenges. This includes, for example, people who have their driving license converted from abroad, people with test anxiety, learning difficulties, or other individual needs. Driving students who are desperate to take their test early, even though they aren't adequately prepared, will also face more frequent obstacles in the future. I also fear that some driving schools will refuse to accept certain students altogether or will only train them under different financial conditions to protect their pass rates. In this video, I explain in detail why I believe this reform could ultimately achieve the exact opposite of what's promised: Driving licenses could become more expensive and, at the same time, more unfair for many people.
