A joint training exercise was conducted simulating a terrorist attack on a bus. Approximately 40 people participated, including representatives from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department and the bus company. The training included exercises to apprehend a suspect wielding a knife inside a bus, rescue injured passengers, and practice handling explosives brought onto the bus. In Tokyo, three incidents of knives being brought onto buses have been predicted for 2026.
