Rehacen pavimentación de Cuernavaca tras invertir 3 millones

A paving project on Abasolo Street in Cuernavaca's Historic Center will have to be completely redone after residents and business owners reported flaws from the very beginning. The project began on April 11, 2026, with an investment of 3 million pesos for a single block. However, part of the street was paved with concrete and another part with asphalt, leading to premature deterioration. On July 17, a new construction company began removing the concrete to install stamped concrete. According to neighborhood representative Fabiola Bobadilla, the City Council agreed to correct the paving after negotiations with the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) in Morelos. Residents and business owners are demanding an explanation for the flaws, a determination of how the invested funds were used, and accountability for a project that will now have to be redone twice at public expense.
