Impala mike tests a scissor top rack after rebuild on 1973 caprice donk glasshouse

Finishing the testing on the rebuilt scissor top rack on a 73 caprice. On Instagram @impalamike_ Everything was disassembled and powder coated. The customer bought this rack off me which I reconditioned. Side arms were in good shape. Header bow isn’t perfect but the pin holes won’t be seen once top is on. New bushings,coated hardware,new latches,new 2nd bow brackets,new drive cables new motor and relay. Replaced wires for top motor from under hood to motor and top switch. Used a self resetting 30 amp breaker. The car also received new roller assemblies on rear window regulators and new rollers on rear glass. I had to honestly feather the switch cause the top goes up and down quickly. Once material is on it , it should slow it a little do to added weight. Please like share and subscribe thanks Impala mike.
