455 Healthcare Providers Charged. What They Face Now.

455 people were charged this week. $6.5 billion in alleged false claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs. At least 90 of them are doctors and licensed medical professionals. The DOJ says their conduct caused significant patient harm, including death. Blanche called it the beginning. Every one of those 455 people will make decisions in the coming days that set up the years that follow. Cooperate or fight. Talk to investigators or stay quiet. Hire the right lawyer or the wrong one. Move fast or wait and hope it disappears. (I choose the "hoping" strategy.) Thursday June 26 at 1 PM Eastern / 10 AM Pacific, I am sitting down live on YouTube with my friend, Ronald Chapman II, a criminal defense attorney who has won acquittals in major healthcare fraud cases. We are going to talk through what those 455 people are facing. What cooperation looks like and what it costs. What going to trial means in a federal healthcare fraud case. What the government is offering. What they are not saying. What turns a bad situation into a worse one. Everything Ron and I discuss is something you can take and apply to your own case. If you are under investigation, facing charges, or trying to understand what comes next, the conversation is for you. Ask questions in the live chat. We will answer them. If you are one of those 455, know someone who is, or work in healthcare and Tuesday's announcement put you on edge, join us. White Collar Advice on YouTube. Thursday. 1 PM Eastern. Live. See you soon, Justin Paperny
