Halloween originated from Celtic culture. Today, we will explore Scottish Celtic Halloween customs. We will see some of the original Halloween celebrations - Samhain, Jack O’ Lantern - which are made with turnips, ‘Guising’ which is the original “Trick or Treat” & cook a seasonal pumpkin soup. We will walk in the enchanted forest at Glamis Castle, where some of the scenes of Shakespeare’s Macbeth have been recreated in wooden sculptures.
