Ugandan Member of Parliament Hon. John Musila has called on Ugandans to boycott South African companies operating in the country, particularly MTN Uganda and Stanbic Bank Uganda, following the death of his son during the recent anti-migrant violence in South Africa. Musila blamed the companies for remaining silent over the attacks and said the lack of public response from their leadership reflects a failure of corporate social responsibility (CSR). He made the remarks while mourning his son, who was among the Ugandans killed during the wave of Afrophobia-related violence in South Africa.
