In this episode of DSP Adventures, I demonstrate a real-time, zero-latency pitch-shifting algorithm in action. The demo features expressive pitch gestures, including deep octave dives, octave pulls, flutter, and subtle vibrato, all performed without the latency typically associated with conventional pitch-shifting techniques. For convenience, the control signal is synthesized using the Q DSP library’s synthesizer facilities. In practice, the same algorithm is driven by the eWhammy, enabling expressive, continuous pitch control in real time.
