Intermediate Marquetry Project

Jacob von Holzen takes you through the step by step process of creating a marquetry picture. He begins by showing who to use a transparency of the picture to layout the pieces and create a “sandwich” of the different wood veneers selected for the project, how to then use the scrollsaw to cut out the image from this sandwich, and finally how to assemble all the separate pieces onto a frame, glue them onto a backing board, seal and finish the finished marquetry picture.
