Restoring 50-Year-Old Stained Glass | Nexus Church

These sixteen Dalle de Verre windows at Nexus Church in Beaverton, Oregon have stood since 1976. By the time our team arrived, the glass was cracking, bowing, and falling, a real safety risk seventy feet above the sanctuary floor. In this video, we walk through the full restoration: from documenting and removing each panel, to hand carving and recasting the glass in our workshop, to the team that traveled across the country to take them down and put them back up. This project took a CAD design team, restoration experts in the shop, and an installation crew willing to do complex, hands on work seventy feet in the air.
