Milling steel on my PrintNC router - Facing and Squaring - Part 1
I had a toolpost riser for my lathe that was too tall and not square so I decided to modify it for future needs. I faced the top and bottom and all the edges (squaring it in the process) then removed 11mm of steel to reduce it from 33mm high to 22mm. Spindle speed 11500 rpm, feed of 2000-2400mm/min, DOC 3-5mm, WOC 0.3mm using a 4 flute HRC 65 nano coated carbide 6mm endmill. #printnc #cncmachine
