TET - Sardinien, Track 11, Tag 8, 9 +, 10, 1500 KM Offroad - we made it

Today we're having a breakfast to our liking: scrambled eggs, whole-wheat rolls, salami, ham, cheese, olives, tomatoes, and a croissant. Fortified, we set off on TET Track 11. We drive to Costa Paradiso, with its red rocks, and take lots of photos. In total, we drive 135 km on asphalt along the beautiful Sardinian coast to Porto Torres. This is where the TET begins. Very gentle, stress-free, without any hills, simply flat. Soon after, we're back on the road and continue to Stintino and Pelosa Beach, where we enjoy a delicious meal at the La Pelosetta restaurant. I have spaghetti cozze e vongole in tomato sauce. A dream! I also have Ignusa beer on tap. Our "soft off-road" route continues to Agrantiera, the former mining village where we were last year. We take a short break there. Afterwards, the route alternates between gravel and asphalt. We drove through Alghero and on to Putifigari, where we checked into the Hotel Echoes of Pleasure. The rooms were great and warm – thanks to the air conditioning – everything was perfect. The next morning, we had toast for breakfast, served by the friendly waitress. Then we had to wait. It was raining and stormy. I asked the junior manager if we could stay until 12:30. The weather should be better by then. No problem, he said. We set off at 1:45 p.m. Kurtl headed for TET Track 11; he wanted to complete the 70 km. Roland and I took the highway to Sassari and then on to Olbia. 125 km, 1 hour 35 minutes. The drive was freezing cold; our fingers were practically frozen off. In Olbia, we found the Doppio Malto, a great restaurant in a former factory building. I had a tagliata and an IPA. At 5:30 p.m., Kurtl arrives; he successfully completed Track 11. Unfortunately, there was another "Be BraveHeart" section. A 50 cm high step that was difficult to overcome. I'm glad I rode on the road. At 7:30 p.m., we arrive at the port. Soon we're allowed to board and go to our cabin. By 8:15 p.m., we're already sitting in a restaurant on board, enjoying a beer. We made it! The crossing is rough. High waves make the ship rock quite a bit, but I still manage to sleep well. At 7:00 a.m., we enter the port of Livorno. We skip breakfast for the first time, as we don't have time for it. We take the Hondas from the ship to the VW van. Everything's fine with the van and trailer. We change our clothes, load the motorcycles, and off we go. We stop for breakfast in Lastra a Signa. Then we rack up the kilometers. During a break in Friuli, it was 16 degrees Celsius. It hadn't been this warm in a long time. The drive went smoothly – despite the heavy traffic. We arrived at Kurtl's at 5:00 PM. It was a fantastic trip, but I'm happy to be home. We saw many places that ordinary tourists don't get to see – except perhaps hikers. ...
