I was skeptical because I struggled to find anyone saying anything negative about this inflatable fishing paddleboard. So when Glide offered to send one to me to test, I accepted the challenge, but warned them I'd be looking for reasons not to like it. Today, I'm testing Glide's claim: "This summer, get on the board built for fishing—without needing a $1,200 rig to do it." I'll test its transportability, stability, capacity, kayak readiness, customizability, and durability to see if this claim holds up. Easy to Transport:** Packs small. Inflates fast. How does it fit in my truck? How fast does it inflate? Customizable Layout:** Mounts and tie-downs for rods, boxes, and accessories. How customizable is it? Unmatched Stability:** Wide and rigid so you can fish standing, sitting, or with a cooler + gear.   Can I stand up and fish from it, without falling in? 500 lb Capacity:** Bring your rods, tackle, dog, and cooler — no compromise. Load it down with my gear and see if it sinks Kayak-Ready:** Includes inflatable seat and kayak blade so you can switch positions and paddle styles.   Put it in kayak mode and see how it does. Adventure-Proof:** Thermofuse rails, premium materials, and rock-solid seams. Does it pop while I'm on the water? Pros Reasonably priced designed for fishing reasonably comfortable pretty sturdy lightweight/easy to transport Cons gear/you will slide off Wind blows you around a lot I don’t trust myself to stand and fish without dumping my gear in The fishing features are minimal. The Glide Angler Elite does nearly everything it says it will do and at a fraction of the cost of high-end SUPs and kayaks.
