Each hole, the player with the highest score was eliminated — from a 10-year-old junior obsessed with trading cards, to a 24-year-old former UVA men’s golf player, a 70-year-old local legend, a 62-year-old woman who started golf in her 30s after playing fast-pitch softball, and even a former Big Break champion who once competed on national TV. Every generation brought a different kind of game — patience, power, experience, and raw nerves — all playing under real pressure. When only one golfer was left standing, they faced me in a three-hole match to see which age would come out on top. No gimmicks, no practice rounds — just pure competition and love for the game.
